Table of Contents
You must have often seen that office people start working immediately after arriving. But for a new person, the biggest question is: "Brother, where is this button?"
In this post, we will learn how to properly operate and shut down both Desktop and Laptop.
1. How to Turn ON Desktop?
Desktop is the one where CPU (box) and screen (Monitor) are separate.
Step 1: Turn on the main electricity switch.
Step 2: There is a big round button on the CPU box. Press it only once gently. (Do not hold it forcefully).
Step 3: If the screen doesn’t light up, there is a small button just below or behind the monitor, turn it on.
Step 4: Sit calmly for 1-2 minutes. 'Windows' will appear on the screen and the computer will be ready.
2. How to Turn ON Laptop?
In Laptop, CPU and screen are in one unit.
Step 1: Open the laptop lid.
Step 2: On the top line of the keyboard, either on the left or right, there is a round or rectangular button with a small circle and a vertical line inside. This is called the Power button.
Step 3: Press it once. The laptop screen will light up.
3. Most Important: How to Turn OFF (Shut Down)?
Never turn off the computer directly with the switch. It can corrupt Windows and office data. Same steps apply for Desktop and Laptop:
Step 1 (Windows Button): Look at the bottom of the screen. On the left corner (or middle) there is a square-like logo: □. This is called Windows Button or Start Button. Left click it with the mouse.
Step 2 (Power Option): A list will open. There will be a round button (⏻). Hover mouse over it, it will say 'Power'. Click it.
Step 3 (Shut Down): Three options will appear: Sleep, Shut Down, Restart. Click 'Shut Down'.
Step 4: Wait until the screen goes black. When CPU light goes off, turn off the main electricity switch.
